Cafe N Addictions (Used to be Creatures of Habit) 22/01/23 First off presentation and smell of coffee is good. Velvety foam and not too much of it. Good coffee flavour, a bit stronger than last weeks coffee which I like. I generally prefer a stronger coffee flavour in a large coffee so I can actually taste it through the milk. Bit on the exy side at $5.79, though I'm sure this is actually on the cheaper side for Ivanhoe. Decaf always adds around 50c and large size usually adds another 50c to $1. I think there was a card surcharge as well because I'm sure I heard the lady serving me say it was $5.70. Definitely not the most expensive coffee I've had. I would say it's slightly more pram friendly than Blue Apron, but not by much. I almost didn't come out this morning since little miss had a pretty dreadful night waking us up at 2:30am with constipation and continued bottom pain from earlier in the day. Poor thing was crying as she was pooing. Thank goodness she prett...

Blue Apron Café -  9  15/01/23 I was supposed to start with Airlie Café being the first café at the lowest part of Upper Heidelberg Road. But when I got there they were closed. So I've ventured across the road to my second from last café. First Impression is the coffee looks and smells great. FYI - for my "research" I'll be ordering a large decaf cappuccino since that is what I normally order full caff. That is a nice cup of coffee. The froth was velvety and not a ridiculous amount. Not the strongest coffee flavour I've had, but it's definitely there and good quality. The coffee was also steaming as I drank which is always a good sign it will nice and hot, and not cool down immediately. A bit of back story... I am by trade a medical receptionist and class A coffee snob. I am currently on maternity leave but still very much a coffee snob. Perhaps more so now because I've been drinking decaf since just before we fell pregnant with out now six and a half mon...
My search for the best decaf coffee 2023 (Also known as the time I had a really crap decaf mocha and need to know where the best decaf is because being restricted to decaf is enough already) 14/01/2023 Let's start with Ivanhoe: 1. Airlie Café 2. Laurent 3. Proud Mama 4. Caffe Strada 5. Extracted 6. Whispers Social Enterprise Café 7. Café Tre Fontane 8. Muse Ivanhoe - missed this café first time on google maps because that spot used to be the Thai Lantern (I think, could be wrong, but the Thai Lantern has moved further up the road) and it's a bit of a weird name for a café. 9. Blue Apron Café 10.Café n Addictions N.B. This is just Upper Heidelberg Road both sides and strictly cafes only. There are also a lot of cafes in the general vicinity of Upper Heidelberg Road and surrounds. As anyone will tell you Ivanhoe is pretty much cafes, hairdressers and a few churches. I will eventually branch out of this list, but for the moment I thought it was a really good starting point and was...
